I finally made my decision. I needed to take some time this week and think and pray and come to a decision about wanting to be the chapter leader for Enchanted Makeovers for Massachusetts. I've decided that I want to be a part of this organization. I want to do more for my community. I've decided that I want to use my love of creating to help others. I am hoping that Terry Grahl is interested in having me part of her organization.
After spending about forty five minutes on the phone with her, I was even more interested in being a part of her organization. She told me stories that made me tear up and cry, stories that made me feel even stronger that this was something I wanted to do. I was scared of failing at being the chapter leader, and still am, but I am trying to get over my fear of failure and trying to be more positive about things that I want to do!
My goal is to spend some more time reading the website for Enchanted Makeovers. You can check out the website for yourself at http://www.enchantedmakeovers.org/. I plan to spend some more time talking with other chapter leaders. I have gotten a lot a great positive feedback from the other chapter leaders and I'm sure they will be a great source of support and help if I am the chapter leader for MA.
I am looking forward to starting this new chapter in my life, that is if I become the chapter leader. As time goes on, I will be posting more about this wonderful organization, even if I am not the chapter leader. I believe in the mission and look forward to telling more people about it.

Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish for Your Health & Wellness?
It's Wednesday once again and this week Jamie asks: "Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish for Your Health & Wellness?"
This question is near and dear to my heart. As I've written, I've tested positive for the BRCA2 gene which means I am more at risk for Breast and Ovarian cancer. It was crazy to think that I wouldn't be positive. My mom has had breast cancer, her mom, her mom's twins sister, and my mom's grandmother. There are a lot of decisions I need to make, but thankfully I don't need to make them right now. Do I have surgery? Do I pass on the surgery and try to just eat healthy and exercise and try to deal with stress better as well as have my preventative tests every 6 months? Do I just take a wait and see approach and make the decision as time goes on? Oh, and this gene also places me at higher risk for pancreatic cancer, which my grandmother's sister died of as well as melanoma. These are not a really high risk , but definitely higher than the general population.
What do I wish for my health and wellness? I wish that I will make the right decision for my overall health, including my mind, body, and spirit. I wish that no matter what decision I make, regarding this as well as any decision in my life, I make an informed decision based on facts and not fear. I wish to have a healthy mind body and spirit. I wish to make time to make this wish a reality.
What do you wish for?

New Year's Resolutions
I read a fellow blogger's post about New Year's Resolutions and really liked what she wrote about. She wrote that she will be making New Year's decisions vs resolutions. Just the word change makes it more likely that one will stick with their decisions vs resolutions. This year, I too will be making decisions instead of resolutions. They may take time to actually accomplish, but my plan is to go slow and make these changes stick vs doing it all at once and finding that I do well for a short time, but it's just not something that I can carry out all at once.
My Decisions For The New Year
- I will plan all my meals so that I cook healthy meals for me and my family and save money by only buying what I need
- I will eat take out less often
- I will start exercising so that I can be healthy
- I will get my life organized so that I can feel less like a crazy person and enjoy my days with my family
- I will make time to create both with and with out the kids
- I will make sure that I keep a clean organized house
- I will feed my body things that are good for it not things that make me feel sick
- I will plan out a schedule so I can make sure that the kids get everything that they need, physical exercise, mental stimulation, and also quiet time!
- I will stop watching so much junk TV
- I will start making more household products, beauty products, and most definitely cook my own food
I have a feeling that there are more things that I want to change, but for now that list is quite extensive. Small steps make big changes!
What are your New Year's Decisions?
