Wishcasting Wednesday: What do you wish to make time for?

This is such a loaded question.  Jamie, over at jamieridlerstudios.ca, asks, "What do you wish to make time for?"

There are so many things that I need to make time for.  I need to make time to pursue my dreams, organize my life, spending time with my husband with no one to interrupt us, getting my chores on track (especially laundry), time for exercise and meditation, creating, etc.  Part of me thinks that there is just not enough time for all the things that I want to do, but then there is another part of me that says I just need to lower my expectations and make time, even if it is just a small amount of time.  Sometimes I think that I expect everything to be perfect and then I don't do anything, because I know it won't be perfect.  Sometimes I think I sabotage myself with my expectations.

I wish to make time for all the things that I want/need out of life, just with lowered expectations.  I also wish to make time to figure out who I really am and what I really want out of life (which is pretty obscure and why I wrote down some of the concrete things that I know I need and want to make time for).

  1. HI Amy! I had a nanosecond and wanted to swing by :) Hope all is well with you!!

This post resonated with me as my expectations- especially currently- never are met the way I'd like. Champ reminds me to slow down, reassess at the end of the day and truly notice what DID get done. That tip works wonders! He also occasionally reminds me at the beginning of the day to only pick 2-3 things to get done that day and then focus on those- it's amazing that when I do that, I actually end up getting 4-5 things off my list done!!!

  2. Hello Amy,
Just wanted to share that for me once I actually made a list of the things that I wanted to and also needed to do, well I was one my way girlfriend. I get home from work each evening, and I would do 1 from need to do list and 1 from the "wanta do for me" list. sounds a bit silly but it sure worked for me... that gives me 7 days to do something differnt if I so choose..and I get to dabble in all of it that way. As you wish for your self I too wish for you.

  3. I can relate to doing nothing because there isn't time for it to be "perfect."

As others have posted about lists, I too keep a daily list of things to do. It feels good to cross them off! And the ones that don't get crossed off -- well, time to take a closer look. Maybe it doesn't need to be on the list.

As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also.

  5. I try to remind myself that my goal is progress, not perfection. As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you.
